Recently Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery published a study where the researchers compared faces of twins. One twin has been getting regular botox injections over the period of 13 years. The other one had only 2 botox treatments over the same period. The difference is astonishing!
BOTOX - The purpose of the study.
The purpose of the study, was to observe and assess the size and depth of wrinkles in two identical female twins.
Twin A had botulinum toxin injections only twice during the 13 year period - 7 and 3 years before the pictures were taken. The injections were placed in her forehead and between the eyebrows.
Twin B had regular botulinum toxin injections - 2-3 times a year. During the same 13 year period, she had been receiving injections in her forehead, between her eyebrows, and additionally, in the last 2 years she has received injections in her crow's feet (around the eyes).
BOTOX - The results of the study.
The results are spectacular. The skin on the forehead and in between the eyebrows of the Twin B is definitely smoother. Her crow's feet are shallower, even though the pictures were taken 7 months after the treatment. None of the women reported any side effects.
The conclusion.
Regular use of botulinum toxin prevents wrinkle settling. Often Botox is overlooked in its use as a preventative treatment. It also helps maintain a fresh, relaxed look. The pictures speak for themselves.
